“The Hopeless Romantic”

Ahhhhh…the Hopeless Romantic…

Somewhere between

and

is the beginning of a great love affair.

True romance

the stuff dreams are made of.

Fairytales do come true, you know…

When the very air around you is magical

and being in love

is like stepping into the pages of a romance novel

written only by your heart

page, after page, after page, after page…

Fairytale castles do exist…

in your heart

your mind

your soul

….and prince charming?

for the genuine, hopeless romantic of the 21st century~

he is alive and well and living in NYC…

A TRUE hopeless romantic

will always believe in Prince Charming

and most certainly will want to be “saved”…

She truly believes in Cinderella

and whether or not

the glass slipper is out there somewhere

on a castle staircase

or in Manhattan’s finest boutique

still remains to be seen….

The hopeless romantic believes in romantic getaways

the more mysterious

the better

Poetry speaks to the hopeless romantic in deeper tones

as Shakespeare quotes

on a dark, cloudy night…

while shooting stars compel us to wish we will never, ever part.

Love is music to a romantic’s soul…

and if the music should ever stop playing one day

don’t lose heart

the words will only come back to you in a more beautiful melody…

I believe if you dream hard enough

your dreams will always come true…

and if you have real passion

you will never, ever lose hope.

The hopeless romantic sees beauty all around her…

and comfort

in the most unusual places

Hope grows eternal faith for the hopeless romantic…

and serves the heart reasons

reason does not understand

Love will cross any bridge

despite tangled doubts on the other side

Fairytales were made to be altered

but their message will always remain the same…

to the hopeless romantic

who has protected her dreams under lock and key

despite the risks she may take.

In darkness

and in light

the hopeless romantic

will determine what is

meant to be

and what is not…

Who deserves another chance

and who is forced to remember

when the journey changed its course

Here’s to all the fairytales in our lives….

May we all

Lisa xoxo

    WHOAH………………..

OK, I have to come via email…..

But let me say here that it is uncanny how we are on the same wave length, and your choice of photos is absolutely perfect. Each photo Lisa, emotes the wonder that each one of us seeks and HAS…locked under the restrictions of busy lives, but freed by the simplicity of a kind word, going the extra mile, and by a true friend. OMG those photos are unreal…back in a minute via email, Anita

Isn’t this the craziest thing, that we should be thinking along the same lines?????? Your pictures are just breathtaking dearest Lisa; remember, we look up at the same sky, with the same joys and pains and hopes…..here’s looking up over the plains, the Great Lakes and the rolling hills of the Mid-Atlantic, in hopes that one day soon we shall meet….happy day my friend, Anita

I believe all things happen for a reason. To make you strong, to teach you something. Love comes about in many ways but it is wonderful when its for you and it makes you feel young again like a teenager being kissed for the first time under a sky full of stars. Your heart races and skips a beat and the excitement inside of you is just such and incredible feeling. I so love all of the photos used as well as all of the phrases. You have a real talent and people feel it through your work!

Lisa!! OMG! What a beautiful, wonderful post!! Poetry in pictures!! Honestly, i don’t know where you find your images, but they fit in so PERFECTLY with your words!! Ahh romance…….. just like faith, felt by the heart, explainable, but so strong and so real………even the word is magical. If you are lucky enough to be a hopeless romantic than i agree, you do see the world in a different light, a positive and passionate light that appreciates every little thing. Oh that more people in the world were romantics, think of how different it would be!! Truly inspiring and beautiful words to reflect on! love and hugs,~devon

    GOOD MORNING MY DEAR FRIEND!

Oh, coming back here is so soothing, and every time I do come back, I get more and more inspiration. That page from the book that says, “Happily Ever After” with the castle and the horse…hmmmmmmm! How I love that concept. Dearest, to see your kind comment last night was so special. BUT I WAS SO SICK, I could not respond. I am staying home today with a RAW and SORE throat and laryngitis and a cough that could wake up Australia! AND YOU KNOW I am sick when I can’t eat! I did not eat any dinner last night. So off to bed I went, but I just wanted to come by to enjoy your company my dear. OH MY, you have to be dug out by now from the snow storm you got????? We are due to get some snow TOMORROW NIGHT, right when Ruben flies out to Baltimore….I am staying PUT today, hoping that at least one day will give my voice the rest I will need for parent conferences in two weeks!

Well dear one, look at all the comments you got!!!!!!!! KEEP ON TYPING! KEEP ON letting the words flow out so beautifully and just run with the ideas…we ALL need to CREATE LOVELINESS in a world that needs it so badly.

Have a relaxing day; I am here if you need me…

  15. anita rivera says:

    Good morning dear one,

Just stopping over before I head out to work….come and see my winter Audrey…it is the best I could do with the limited time I had yesterday….I hope to make some tags too…Anita

  16. anita rivera says:

    My dear and wonderful Lisa,

Seeing your comments come my way always make me soooo happy. I hope you see my email message; I decided that since NEXT WEEK after Thanksgiving, it would be best to link since your post probably won’t be up TODAY. AND….the holiday shopping rush will begin! LOVE YOU! And I still love this post SOOOOOO VERY MUCH!! Anita
